Exciting News! was recently purchased by LinkedIn and is currently undergoing the transition to “LinkedIn Learning”. LinkedIn Learning has the same great content as and will provide a more personalized learning experience.

Unfortunately, during this transition you’ll have to take a small break from your learning as your account will be going through an upgrade during which time you will no longer be able to access But don’t worry, all your learning activity and history will be seamlessly transferred to LinkedIn Learning. After the upgrade is completed, you’ll receive an email to activate your new and improved LinkedIn Learning account. According to LinkedIn Learning, this transition is supposed to be completed by February 28th.

New O&M Business Processes: Equipment Record Tracking and Vendor Warranty Assignment

Attention O&M Site Management and Business Coordinators!

The Supply Chain Group and Business Systems Team have worked diligently in developing a few new business processes that will assist your sites in several tasks. These tasks include Equipment Record Tracking and Vendor Warranty Claim Initiation and we are ready for you to start learning these processes! Associated communication on this topic will be conducted on the March 1st, O&M Change Meeting.

The applicable work instructions are posted in ECRM on the Functional Document Control Center [FDCC]. Below are the direct links to the documents:

If you have not received an invitation, or are not a Site/Area Manager or Business Coordinator but would like to complete this “on-demand” course, please click on the links below for the corresponding course.

If you are an O&M Site Manager, an O&M Area Manager, or an O&M Business Coordinator you should receive an email invitation to complete an interactive e-Learning course for both of the above listed topics before the end of the day on 3/1/19. Please check your inbox and clutter folders for this.

Is this a required training for Site/Area Managers and Business Coordinators?

Yes! With the new processes and the importance that these new processes have in the way our equipment/material is handled in SAP, the completion of the training is a requirement that has been deemed appropriate. All existing Site/Area Managers and Business Coordinators will receive this invitation and moving forward any new Site/Area Managers and Business Coordinators (via hire or promotion) will receive this upon placement.

Is there a deadline to complete this training?

Of course, there is a deadline to complete this training, if you are a required participant. Once you have been invited to the course or have initiated your course [for those who are not required], you will have 14 days to complete the course. If you do not complete the course in that time frame, you will be marked as “incomplete” in the system… However, if you need a deadline extension for any reason, please simply reach out to us at to request this, and we will be happy to assist you in any way that we can.

Please note that this training is self-paced and has interactive simulations and activities that you will need to complete to finish each e-Learning course.

As another helpful note, this training module will always be available to you, even after completion. This way, you will always have access to view the information if you need help.

Who owns these processes and who is the best point of contact if I need help?

With all Business Systems related topics, we encourage you to follow the “Pyramid of Help” if you find yourself with a question or issue during the process.  The Supply Chain Group owns these processes and is very involved in the process at different points, as you will learn in the e-Learning module; however, we encourage you to reach out to your area’s Business Coordinator and then follow up with the Business Systems Training SME, if needed, as they will have the most localized information for you and know the best way to proceed if a question merits further inquiry.

Can I take the training if I am not a Site/Area Manager or a Business Coordinator?

Absolutely! This training is an “on-demand” e-Learning course that available to anyone who seeks more information and wants to further their knowledge on this topic. Feel free to click on the links above to work through the course. Please note, you must log into Mindflash to access the courses.

The ECRM Departments Tab Has a New Look

The Departments tab in ECRM will be updated to a streamlined and simplified structure and reflect the current organizational structure.

When is this happening?  The change will occur in the morning on Friday March 1st

What is changing? 

  • IT and Communications teams worked together to come up with a streamlined, simplified structure that clearly reflects business units.
  • Currently there are 12 headers – they will be replace with 5 headers (see preview screenshot below).  All links to sites will be in these 5 categories.
  • Redundant links or links that led to unused pages will be removed.  Don’t worry!  No sites were deleted, all content is still there

AWEA Wind Project O&M and Safety Conference Held at the Coronado Hotel & Resort

Our Asset Optimization group joined hundreds of industry professionals this week on Coronado Island for the AWEA Wind Project O&M and Safety Conference, February 27th through the 28th. On Wednesday evening, EDF Renewables played host to a successful reception complete with a great array of delectable food and engaged in business networking, while guests listened to classic rock songs.

In the photo to the left, Matt Sigala, PDS Specialist Lead Tech - FCS, participated in an outdoor demonstration focusing on lifts during blade repairs.  Attendees who had attended this demonstration were also able to take in a beautiful bird's eye view of the resort and of Coronado beach.
